-In 1874 H.G. Wells broke his leg and it was during this time that he started to develop a love of reading, which led to his interest in writing.

-H.G. Wells married his cousin Isabel Mary Wells but then he fell in love with a student. Afterthat, he married Amy Catherine Robbins (they had 2 sons together). Then he had a daughter with Amber Reeves. Finally he had a son with Rebecca West.
-> He had 3 sons and 1 daughter and 4 wifes and he had a crush on a student

-H.G. Wells ran for Parliament in 1922 and 1923 as a Labour Party candidate but was unsuccessful. He had wanted to use a political position to advance his ideas.

Wells is himself, one of the co-founder and the editor of this review titled the "Science Schools Journal" and the text was titled "The Chronic Argonauts" but at that time, it wasn't at all the same as "The Time Machine".

Throughout The Time Machine, Wells shatters several common assumptions of human thought (for example, the belief in the inevitable progress of the species, the notion that technology will make human life better, and the insistence that people are at the center of the universe). However, two aspects of humanity whose value Wells does not question are the experience of fear and the ability to feel kindness (symbolized by the Eloi, who are peaceful and kind, and the Morlocks, who are strong and capable because of the hardship and fear with which they live). The Morlocks (the descendants of the British poor) live in difficult conditions and are fearful of one another due to the practice of cannibalism. An ideal world for Wells, is one in which humans must work, and take risks, but not to the point that they become depraved like the Morlocks.

Kindness is at the heart of the Time Traveller’s own mission. His trip into the future is not for the purposes of gaining power or wealth, but rather for obtaining knowledge. Once the Time Traveller realizes the dark truth of the future, he returns to his own time in order to raise the alarm to the people who might have the power to effect meaningful change.

Above ground, which can be seen as a parallel to the conscious mind, the Eloi are kind and fun-loving and they live in harmony with one another. Underground, which parallels the subconscious, the Morlocks are depraved and cannibalistic. The structure of the world 802,701 suggests that the kindness of the Eloi and the fear and depravity of the Morlocks are inseparable in the human psyche, which is another way of talking about the complexities of human nature.


In short, the message conveyed in the story is that people have both kindness and fear in their mind. They can't live without both of this feelings. All the actions and the feelings were really well described by the narrator and I really liked the fact that there were a little bit of romance. 
I also liked the end because we don't really know if all the travel and the adventures were just a dream or not. 
The fact that I also watched the movie add something to the reading because there are some things which are quite differents and sometimes it's coolest but sometimes it's less cool but it doesn't change my opinion on it.
This book is really great. I listened to all the soundtracks of the movie during the time I was reading the book and it add an atmosphere really special.
