This book is a post-modern twist on the traditional fairy tale of 'The Three Little Pigs' where now the story is told from the view point of the Wolf. The wolf explains that he was completely framed for the destruction of the pigs' homes and the killing of the pig was a complete misunderstanding. All he actually wanted to do was to make a cake with his grandmother so needed to borrow a cup of sugar from his neighbours, but resulted in the wolf getting arrested!

Click this link for my further exploration:
https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1CNoxc8dKKsoBQAlipIZO1aX4W6dKjx0nU1TpZQuqG2w/edit?usp=sharing

One Snowy Night begins with Percy the park keeper at his cosy hut where the park animals go each and every lunch to get fed. However, it begins to snow and the temperature severely drops so he wraps up in a blanket to stay warm. He hears a knock on his door and it is a little squirrel shivering in the snow, so he invites him in. There is then another knock at the door of two more animals and then another knock and another... Percy discovers that if he invites one of the animals in, he needs to let them all come in but his hut is only small. In the end everybody finds a cosy space in Percy's hut so they could all snuggle down and go to sleep.

Click this link for my further exploration:
https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1dG3cwHbz3DC7Qjwq4Yo2Hnij1ou8rRcrrRj9yHwjIWw/edit?usp=sharing

This is an adventure story about a young eleven year old boy who sails around the world, on a yacht called 'the Peggy Sue', with his parents including places such as South Africa, Brazil and Australia. When travelling through a vicious storm, he is thrown overboard and ends up stranded on the shore of an island with his dog. He fears not being able to survive but then realises he is not alone after finding a plate of food next to him that must belong to someone. After meeting a former soldier, called Kensuke, they built a strong bond together due to Michael's curiosity to get to known the Japanese survivor. This resulted in Michael being unsure whether to live this new life with Kensuke isolated from the world, or to try to reunite with his family after missing them so much.

Click this link for my further exploration:
https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1kosJyha_VHIOkligDZfG2PC1hEKHmv0w9g_UJvJ5j2c/edit?usp=sharing

This historical mystery book follows the story of Leo who has always felt like the odd one out in his school but he never actually understood why. His father had always told him it is because they are special people but that did not help Leo. On a school trip dedicated to WW1 to visit a cathedral, Leo notices something very peculiar written on a slab above a door. His name was on a list of war heroes. Leo and his friend Sangeetha are filled with curiosity to discover who this person is with the exact same name and to determine whether this has a connection to Leo's internal question of why nobody has ever looked like him and why he does not fit in.

Click this link for my further exploration:
https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1ea7_4tP9PmZxd0l8h-9DAa08P_tq3YCnS1gv-2HgE9c/edit?usp=sharing

This thrilling story is set in the snowy woods of Russia, where Feodora and her mother live in a house full of fireplaces and plenty of food to keep them fit and healthy. In this story, Feodora's mum is a wolf wilder which means she takes on the role to teach animals how to defend themselves in times of need, for example when they need to run or fight and crucially educate all animals that humans are people to fear. Feodora is learning how to be a wolf wilder, just like her mother, and has no choice but to use these skills when she is threated by the army, as they believe wolves are dangerous so should be killed, resulting in her having to face her fears and go on the run to save her home and mother.

Click this link for my further exploration:
https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1_OsgT8oDLl9Z89wqBQhF2k8z4s23z1FPWeihT1ZPiYY/edit?usp=sharing
