I enrolled at college on the 24th of august
And talked to teachers about my interest and why I picked travel and tourism.
I communicated with the course leaders but I could have spoken with more confidence .

I’m involved in a part-time job at a coffee shop that involves in me speak to younger and older generations creating better communication skills and growing my confidence with new people that I’ve never meet before .

I could improve on more quick thinking and not asking other workers for help with the customers .

I’ve started taking the bus to school since before I was walking to and from.
I developed communication by learning you stick your hand out to signal to the bus that you want to get on .
I could develop my skill by speaking more to the bus drivers and being polite and using manners .

Evidence 1 - Paper Quilt

the whole class (as a team) make a quilt with squares of paper with are names and facts on, threading them together with yarn at the corners after a hole puncher made a hole, the yarn was then looped through the hole and tied tightly.
Spock as a team to figure out how to make the quilt come together.
Everyone joined in and helped.
Could of been done faster, very slow at putting it together and tying nots.

make a PowerPoint about your favourite things, places, people, films, and facts about yourself. Then go round or speak at the front of class and explain it to people you haven't met in you class.
I spoke to more people and grew more confidence to speck to the people in my class.
I made new friends within the class.
Speak with more confidence, don't say works wrong because of nerves.

Evidence 3 - team work at my workplace

At work you work in a team by one person taking orders then passing it on to the chef who makes the orders and then the waiter taking the food back out to the people who ordered.
This is a good system and it makes sure orders are out fast and without any complaints.
speak more with co-workers to speak about what stage your at with service and how long food and drinks will be to inform the table wating.

I find motivation in knowing I'm going to see friends that make me smile and laugh. This makes me want to come into college to learn and talk to my friends that make me enjoy the lesson. This makes me want to come into college the next day because nothing made happened the day before. I show this by getting the bus and showing up to collage and showing that I'm happy to see them.

I find motivation in knowing that coming into college will make me achieve a job in the travel and tourism industry. This makes me come into to college because i want to put into as much effort and determination as possible. I show this by trying my very hardest in all lessons and always trying to contribute as much as i can.

My motivation to go to work is the money you earn to buy yourself nice things and to see co-workers that you like and treat like family. This makes me go to work because i want to earn the money and i want to see co-workers that i haven't seen in a while and have a catch up. I show this by turning up to work and do my best to help customers who have questions and want to order something.

I've always shown up to lesson on time so the teachers can start there lesson on time.

this is shown with my attendance being 100% and my punctuality also being 100%

i will keep this up by waking up bright and early to show up to lesson on time.

i always hand in assignments on time so teachers can mark them as quick as possible and i can get my grade back and improve it if i want to. i do this by keeping my assignments up to date and trying to do anything i can in any spare time i have.

I'm reliable by showing up to work on time and professional during work, i also take shifts that people have to cancel because they fall sick or have emergencies. This makes me reliable because it shows i can be trusted to take over work and shows that people rely on me when there is a problem.

evidence 1- raising money for Barnsley hospice

we had to raise money for Barnsley hospice by doing a bake sale, raffle, and teachers getting pied. we had loads of people stopping and buying cakes and buying raffle tickets. I would change were we were positioned since it was around a corner and not many people came unless we shouted them over. I achieve more communication skills by talking to people at college to get them to support the hospice.

A family's dad was diagnosed with terminal cancer so we held a raffle to win a hamper so we could support the family and someone won the hamper. we had loads of people walking into the coffee shop to see what the big hamper was. I would ask people if they would buy a ticket if they were buying something else because that would have got more people to buy a raffle ticket. I achieved more comminutions and listening skills because loads of people wanted to buy a ticket and i would start a conversation with them to seem friendly.

evidence 3- helping a elderly man with his phone

a elderly man who is a regular in the coffee shop once asked me if i could help him fix his phone so i had to restart his whole phone and i had to figure out how to do that since he had a flip phone. Talk o him more since he seemed confused about what i was doing to his phone so i would talk him through it to help explain it. more problem solving skills that will help when i get a job in the travel and tourism industry.
