The main reason why Hitler wanted to invade Austria was because of the living space ideology. The living space ideology is the belief that Germany would expand their borders. This idealogy appeared after WW1 when Germany lost most of their land because of the Treaty of Versailles. The Treaty of Versailles was made by an active member of WW1 and had Germany pay hefty fees.

Adolf Hitler invaded Austria in 1938 for a variety of political, ideological, and economic reasons. Ideally, Austria's invasion supplied Germany with an important border zone and allowed for military expansion southward, improving Hitler's goals for regional control. Historically, Hitler's vision of pan-Germanism inspired his desire to bring together all German-speaking peoples under the flag of the Greater German Reich, with Austria viewed as an important part of this project due to historical and cultural ties. Also, the political instability and economic hardships in Austria provided an opportunity for Hitler to unite Austrian Nazi followers and orchestrate the annexation. This decision was consistent with Hitler's greater expansionist strategy, displaying his readiness to aggressively seek territory and assert German authority throughout Europe.

Hitler wanted to invite Austria shortly because he believed that Austria should be incorporated into a greater German Reich. He viewed Austria as a natural extension of Germany and saw its inclusion as essential for achieving his vision of a unified German state. By inviting Austria to join Germany, Hitler sought to consolidate power and assert German dominance in Central Europe. Additionally, he viewed the annexation of Austria as a strategic move to further expand his influence and territorial control in the region. Ultimately, Hitler's desire to invite Austria shortly was driven by his aggressive expansionist policies and his goal of creating a Greater Germany.

Britain pursued a policy of appeasement in the 1930s due to a combination of factors. The trauma of World War I led to a strong desire to avoid another conflict, while economic difficulties during the interwar period, exacerbated by the Great Depression, prioritized economic stability over confrontation. Many policymakers also believed that addressing Germany's grievances, stemming from the Treaty of Versailles, might prevent future conflict. Additionally, Britain's military unreadiness and a degree of wishful thinking about Hitler's intentions contributed to the belief that negotiation and concession could avert war. These factors collectively led Britain to adopt a policy of appeasement towards Nazi Germany, ultimately failing to prevent the outbreak of World War II.

Britain pursued an appeasement strategy primarily for financial reasons. The nation wanted to avoid getting involved in another expensive war because it had suffered so much during World War I. War would jeopardize stability and expansion in an economy that is still recovering. Consequently, it appeared that appeasement would buy some time and avert economic upheaval. Nevertheless, in the end, this strategy was unable to stop World War II, demonstrating the drawbacks of giving economic issues precedence over dealing with aggression.

The British policy of appeasement towards Nazi germany in the late 1930s was motivated by several factors including fear of another costly world war, a sense of fatigue after World War I and a belief that Germany could be appeased through diplomatic means and a policy of concessions. Britain and other western nations were also eager to avoid any conflict with Germany and its allies, which made them hesitant to confront Hitler's expansionist policies. Additionally, the British government's decision to appease Hitler was influenced by a fear of the Soviets and a belief that it was better to deal with Germany through diplomacy rather than risking another war. These factors combined to create a policy that failed to address the growing threat posed by Nazi Germany and ultimately led to World War II.

Britain pursued a policy of appeasement in the 1930s as a response to the trauma of World War I and the desire to avoid another devastating conflict. The horrors of the Great War, coupled with economic strains, led policymakers to prioritize peace and stability over confrontation with aggressive powers like Nazi Germany. Additionally, many in Britain believed that by accommodating Hitler's territorial demands, they could prevent another large-scale war and buy time to rearm and prepare for potential conflict.

Military Reasons: After the World War I, Britain didn't want to join another war. The losses of life in the war made Britain try to avoid a war. Additionally, Britain's military was not fully prepared for war during the 1930s. Re-armament efforts were planned, but the military was not yet at a level where it could fight with big powers like Nazi Germany.

Economic Reasons: The Great Depression had a significant impact on Britain's economy, as it did on much of the world. Unemployment was high, and there was a big economic problem. Many British leaders believed that avoiding conflict and maintaining peace would provide stability for economic recovery. Furthermore, war was seen as economically costly.

Chamberlain was popular, and he was greeted warmly by people who felt he had avoided war. The King and Queen welcomed him to Buckingham Palace. Appeasement was once popular because people wanted to avoid conflict; memories of the Great War and its misery were still important in the 1930s, Britain struggled with the consequences of the Depression and could not afford another war or substantial rearmament. Many thought that the Treaty of Versailles was too harsh and that Germany had a right to reclaim lost areas and rebuild its weaker forces.

Britain followed a policy of appeasement because they hoped it would prevent another big war like World War I. They thought if they gave Hitler what he wanted, like letting him take over parts of Europe without a fight, he might be satisfied and stop causing trouble. They were trying to keep the peace by being nice to him. But it didn't work out, and eventually, World War II happened causing chaos in the whole world.

In an attempt to prevent another conflict, the British government adopted a strategy of appeasement toward Germany in the years before World War II. This strategy comprised giving in to Hitler's requests for more territory in order to stop him from encroaching on Poland. Due to the policy's eventual failure, Germany invaded Poland in 1939, sparking the outbreak of World War II. Many have condemned the failure of appeasement, saying it was a mistake that merely gave Hitler greater confidence and increased his authority and influence.
