Britain thought they where doing a favor for India when they where under Britain’s rule one of these things where that the British thought they where bring infrastructure to India which is true they achieve this by the vast train track networks that the created mainly made to transfer resources around the country for easy exportation and to be able to move the resources in the areas which they are needed. This could be seen as selfish due to it only being made for British use in mind but it helped many Indians travel to to locations which they would have not been able to reach with out it. The British also achieved to created a fully functioning government in India which was not there before there arrival so it can be seen that with out Britain’s help India most likely would not have been able to rule over India. The Britain’s also helped to lesson the violence between the Hindu and Muslim people in India by splitting India into Pakistan which was made into a Muslim majority county and India which was a Hindu majority country and this partition would have to been able to be made with out the help of Britain the with out it many lives would have been lost in the ongoing violence.

Britain came in the 1600 and upon there arrival the east India trading company sent by the queen was there to colonize india and manage to with very few difficulties due to India and Britain have a close relationship already due to them being trading partners before the British colonized them. The main reason to colonize India was to be able to collect large amounts of Indian natural and Human Resources which would be used back in England due to the large demand because of the large scale development taking place in Britain during the time period and the main resource they where collecting from India was there large amount of land to allow the Britain to establish places to grow there cash crops in the ideal climate that was in India and an example of one of these cash crops are opuim.
