High fiber vegetables should be included in most meals. Lots of water unless instructed by doctor. Elderly people should pack in the protein in there day to day meals. Calcium is crucial in all meals because it helps bone health.          <description><![CDATA[<div>Because elders have increased needs due to their age,  they must boost their nutrient and vitamin levels (calcium &amp; vitamin D). Keeping these levels high lowers their risk of developing the following: cognitive decline, depression, osteoperosis, and many more serious health problems. Decreasing sodium is also important. Because elders kidneys' do not function as well as they once did, reducing the intake of sodium and potassium is important to keep the kidneys regulating healthily.          <title>Longterm effects of inproper diet?</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Bad oral health: When older people do not have their required vitamins or do not have enough food it can lead to tooth decay or pariodontal disease.<br><br>Fatigue: When the elderly do not have enough iron it can lead to anemia which is dangourous for their health.<br><br>Digestion issues: Older people who do consume enough vitamins and nutrient dense foods could still be lacking in certain vitamins and this could be caused by medication intake.
