Qy@instagram.com
Post:History of Singapore culture before 1819:Hi followers and friends from Instagram,do you know there is actually a Singapore before 1819? I recently found out that there was one.And it has a very interesting culture behind it.Here are some of my examples:Firstly I went to the National Museum of Singapore to gather sources.I found blue and white porcelain stem-cups from the 14th century, they were recovered from fort canning and they were produced in China during the yuan dynasty.Next I found a golden armlet too!
It is a protective symbol found at Hindu temples during the 8th-14th century.Secondly I went to the school library to history corner to find more sources about the culture and I found that There was a stone called a Singapore stone it has Javanese words carve onto it During the 14th century.Lastly, I went to read through my history textbook and read up on the Internet of my last 2 sources of Singapore culture.I found out that there was a series of Malay stories about the rulers of the sultan of Melaka and their decendants during the 16th century.Last but not least,I found a picture from my textbook that shows people living by the sea during the 12th-17th century.they are known as the orang laut.In a nutshell,I would like to conclude that Singapore was influenced by many culture during the 12th-18th century. This includes the Chinese,Malay ,Indian and Javanese culture. Therefore I could conclude that there was a Singapore before 1819.
If you find my HI story interesting please follow and like me on QY@instagram.com
😎😎😎
