My favorite summer meal is not actually a meal at all; it is a fruit. My absolute favorite fruit to eat in the summer is watermelon. Growing up I spent a lot of time with my grandparents. We knew it was summertime when my grandfather came home with a huge dark green, yellow belly watermelon! He would cut it in half and put one half in the refrigerator to chill (the best way to eat it in my opinion), then he would take the other half and split it with all the kids (it was A LOT of us!!). But I especially loved the way he ate his watermelon because he would take a small knife and cut pieces right off the rind and that made it easier to eat without getting messy. So, every summer I find myself following in my grandpas footsteps.

My favorite summer meal I had was this bar place where I had these chicken tenders covered with Buffalo and BBQ sauce. It came with french fries which were just regular fires, and coleslaw that tasted like canes coleslaw. This place where they served my meal was a local place in Big sky Montana called Tips up. We needed the food because me and my mom were on a long flight from Florida to Montana which took 4 hours, so we needed the food and it was delicious.

The best meal that I had this summer was fish. Whenever my family goes to Galveston or somewhere else that is close to the coast, we always go somewhere for fish. I love getting the crispy fishes that have a delicious and well cooked inside. I always squeeze some lemon on top and I sometimes even add some greens. This meal is absolutely so delicious and is super refreshing.
