Of the ten ethical computing guidelines, I firmly believe students break rules 1 and 4 the most. From the beginning of social interaction online, people have always gone out of their way to harm over the internet. This obviously has become very detrimental to a lot of people which is extremely unfortunate for those people who had other ideas about using technology.
Additionally, we are in the digital age where almost any digital media can be obtained illegally but free. 9 times out of 10, a college student short on money will go with the free option.

The violation of harming others online occurs because people find much more ease when essentially talking to a computer or phone screen vs. talking to someone in person. It is much easier speaking inappropriately or violently when someone cannot see you.
The violation of stealing happens because people do not find intrinsic value within digital properties. They do not see their stealing as harmful to creators because they are not taking a physical object away from someone else. This is why millions of movies, songs, books, etc. all that have digital formats are stolen daily.

Over the years, many new laws have been put in place to reduce online bullying and piracy. Additionally there have been mandatory programs put into effect in schools in an effort to keep their technology usage appropriate. However, it has yet to become an effective attempt because, as the online space expands rapidly, more and more people will be harmed and/or stolen from.
