In the moment as you can see the squiggles means I was a bit frazzled by my to do list, sleepy yet grateful and happy about the vacation coming up. In drawing 2 i out very tall trees and a path with nothing else and no people because I’d love to be in solitude on retreat in nature for a while to soak up all the goodness and have some inner time for myself.
Finally the last picture surprised me because it’s the opposite of my pattern. I’m always taking care of everyone else and what came up is I need to do only the things I can control and for myself and let others be responsible for what theirs.

Though it looks like cheese (which is funny since I was hungry when drawing), the first image is a sponge, as the me I see now is constantly learning and absorbing new info, while squeezing out things that are harmful or unproductive. The second image is a lightbulb, as I would like to be a clear source of light, clarity and guidance for others. Finally, I drew a heart, since the way I will get to my destination is through empathy, love, purpose, understanding and connection (with myself and others).

In addition to putting my vivid imagination to work, I can take a few minutes to engage my hands as well by drawing my thoughts into existence. This is a fun and meaningful way to make my vision of myself more tangible (and to see evidence of how it changes over time).
