'. This shows that they are befuddled at the fact that communism has died off and that their efforts to spread the ideology were wasted.

The source shows communism in a coffin, which tells me that communism has died. Since communism has died, there will be no more war between different ideologies and hence, contributed to the end of cold war.


3. Gorbachev's policies failed to reform the economy and which did not make any headway for Gorbachev. The introduction of co-operations resulted in the communist government losing control over economic conditions where the relaxed control over goods and services led to an increase in number of unprofitable enterprises that needs the government support.
