This solution will benefit many people by it providing electricity and technology. This solution also has a greater efficiency than conventional coal-burning and you can effectively use the gases twice to generate electricity for many people. More people in the future can have electricity and power at a low cost no matter who they are. This solution will also create more jobs because people can participate in the process.

This solution benefits anyone who needs gas or an energy source. It can harm anyone who takes in any of the emissions. It is beneficial to many people because it can generate electricity for an entire community. This solution can make people sick because of air pollution entering human bodies. This solution can provide jobs for unemployed citizens and different races in the lower class. This may also provide jobs for veterans returning from war.
By: Dylan Rattet

Solution #1: Coal gasification plant
Solution #2: Carbon storage and sequestration coal burning power plant

Both of these solutions are good for social equity because they are used to make things more fair. For example, they both benefit people who use lots of energy since coal is very cheep and affordable. Also, both solutions make it easier to generate energy for a big amount of people if there was a power outage. Lastly, when coal is used it allows more people to have jobs in the coal industry so it makes it more fair for those that don’t have jobs since the coal industry is very big and needs as many people as possible regardless of how much experience the person has. This is a positive for both solution’s social equity.
