What I learned about myself: it strongly depends on the environment which part of my person/personality and which skills I am willing to show. Through my actions, I interact with my socio-cultural environment and I try to act in a way that is accepted by the others.

In other words (changing the perspective): the environment shapes the individual. Those who do not regularly break out of their familiar and habitual surroundings only get to know a small part of themselves.
Sometimes I'm surprised by myself here. And when I try to mentally recreate a situation experienced here in my familiar Allgäu setting, It makes me smiling. It wouldn't work or would lead to strange looks and reprimanding remarks at home...

Today is Palm Sunday and I went to church. I recognized that here in Guadeloupe it's really a PALM Sunday, in Germany we use the Thuja in absence of the real palms. So that's my todays picture.

What I have learned about myself is that it is very important to be by yourself sometimes and relax. At home I will try to force myself to take a few minutes just for myself each day.

Today I learned about myself/was reminded that too much sun and heat is not always too good for me.
My favorite pic of the day is also one of a church that was absolutely packed with people celebrating palm Sunday because I was very impressed by this.

One of dreams came true when visiting an exotic country such as Guadaloupe including another small island Petit-Terre that I call Petit Paradise on the Earth. Here I met another dream when having a possibility to sea some Chelonia mydas in a palm distance.

I learnt about myself that probably I should start thinking more about myself (not in a selfish way of course, just about what is good for you and your work life balance). In general, I think that I always need some more time to be able to say what I learnt about myself - for example one or two weeks after coming home from a journey because I always need some more time to reflect everything.
As my favourite picture I just chose a close up from the sea because its so beautiful and blue here in Guadeloupe and I always enjoy just to sit at the beach and watching the sea without doing anything.
