Reflecting at the GOOD MORNING SONG .

During circle time every morning with my kids, as soon as we begin the GOOD MORNING SONG, there is often an immediate change in the atmosphere children’s faces light up with comfort ,some begin to sing along while others smile. The quite children who are not ready sing out loud enjoy and follow the rhythm and often participate that shows recognize the routine, especially when sang in the Inuit language that they understand.Children feel fulfilled as their names are mentioned, they feel seen , included and welcome. It’s a moment of connection and transition from home to school. To me this song sets a warm positive and welcoming atmosphere, where another child will call out to the teacher sometimes to complain like TEACHER, YOU FORGOT ME. When his name is not mentioned.this song builds their social and emotional development. Improve language , and give the confidence.

          GLORY.
