•His significance in the renaissance was that he was a big influencer through his writing. His book also really shaped the renaissance.

Francesco Petrarch was a poet and a scholar. He studied law but his passion was for literature. He not only was the father of humanism but also it's founder.

Petrarch's famous works are "Rime Sparse" or "Scattered Rhymes" and "Petrarch's Canzoniere" or Petrarch's Songbook" he wrote 66 poems and 317 sonnets, most of which were about a girl he had never met named Laura .

He was the founder of humanism and helped start the obsession of people he also brought back at lot of the importance of ancient Roman authorsHis brother
