Craftsmen were definitely not considered as important as farmers, but in fact they were very useful people. They made very useful things such as silk which had exquisite paintings on them. They also made/designed bronze ware. This was introduced in the Warring States Period, around 5th century BCE. The Craftsmen designed/produced many types of bronze ware and Lacquar. Lacquer is from the sap of the Lac tree and forms a hard protective coat .

Peasant farmers or 'nong' formed the largest percentage of the Chinese population.Farmers were seen as the distinction of the wealthy and the poor, namely the herdsmen lived on the outskirts of China.Farmers were important for the welfare of China, but farmers were poor and owned small portions of land. One of the hindrances was that they were forced to make things for the emperor rather then tending to their farms. They also found themselves ruined by natural disasters or as a rebel force by leaders to overthrow the emperor.

Slaves were not considered in any social structure, this is because nobody cared about them, they weren't anything to anyone so people treated them badly and made them slaves. They were owned by mostly emperors but also by very wealthy people. Slaves were very good at what they did working, they worked in private homes, shops, supporting the government and even working on building projects. most of these slaves were relatives of convicted criminals.
