The reason I chose the first few verses of Bohemian Rhapsody is because of how Simon hallucinated, and I chose the next few verses because the lyrics sort of depicted death, and Simon dies. but the rest of the song didn't make sense so I cut it. I have put a link to the official music video to Bohemian Rhapsody, and in the comments I put a link to a document with the lyrics edited to match Simon's story perfectly.

This gave him many good qualities and bad. To begin, some good traits of Simon were that his beliefs were never clouded and he was very nice to the other boys on the island. For example, Simon never thought the beast was real even when all the boys didn't think as much. Also, Simon was always very respectful towards the younger boys on the island. However, Simon did have some bad characteristics. These including: His silence, and how secretive he acted towards the other boys. Silence was a major problem with Simon because he never told the boys on the island that he didn't believed in the beast. This led to him telling then too late and dying. In addition, Simons obscure nature led the boys to pick on him. Simon always doubted that that beast was real, but he never knew for Sure. In chapter five, after he heard that the beast was on top of the hill he decided to go look. He saw that it was just a man in a parachute and he freed the man of his parachute. 

"You'll get back all right. I think so, anyway."
Simon knew that Ralph was gonna be ok, but he wasn't so Sure about him or the others. That is why in chapter seven when he's talking to Ralph he tells Ralph this but leaves out himself and the other boys.

"We used specs...he helped that way"
In chapter two Piggy is being mocked for his weight and asthma. One of those beliefs was the thought that the beast wasn't real. To explain, Simon believed that the beast all the boys were so scared of was just a figment of their imagination. For example, on page 92, Simon tells Ralph, "I don't believe in the beast." this quote shows that Simon did, in fact, believe the beast wasn't real. This led him to go to the top of the mountain to look for the beast. When Simon arrived at the top of the mountain, he found a beaten up corpse attached to parachute. Unlike the other boys, Simon did not mistake this for the beast and instead untangled the lines to the parachute so the body could fly away.  However, now that he actually knew the beast wasn't real, Simon went to tell the boys this. Chapter eight states the exact description of the sanctuary, this is, "flowers grew and butterflies danced round each other and the air hot and still." Simon loved that place (up until Jack left a bloody pig head there). It was where he escaped to when he was in despair.
