The Senoi believe in gentle spirits and use taboos to maintain control. 
Religious specialist are usually chosen on the basis of their contact with the spirits in their dreams.
The Senoi believe everyone has several souls, including shadow souls that can be malevolent ghosts. The dead are usually buried on the other side of a stream from where people live because it is believed that ghost can not cross water. Orang Asli has belief in 3 main religions, they are more belief in Animism, Islam and Christianity. 

·       Animism - 70% of Orang Asli practice traditional Animist regions and believe that there are spirits that dwell in inanimate object, such as tree and rock.
·       Islam - 15-20% of Orang Asli are Muslim, though the percentage of Orang Asli who are Muslim has been steadily increasing in more recent years, especially among the Proto-Malay.
·       Christianity - only 10% of Orang Asli are Christian.
