In the book Bud, Not Buddy there was this child named Bud. Bud was very adventurous and confident. Bud was parentless, he had no mother or father. He was an orphan and he was very lonely. One day Bud disappears from the orphanage. Bud ran away from the orphanage because he was very determined. Bud was very bright and smart.
When Bud ran away from the orphanage he went to find his "dad". He was disappointed when he found a old grumpy man. He found the man named Herman E. Calloway. He was in a band with some of his friends. He was very helpful when he started going to the store with the band. At the end of the story he finds out that Herman E. Calloway is his grandfather.

I read the book Bud, Not Buddy by Christopher Paul Curtis. The book would fit into the category adventure. I say adventure because Bud travels all around the world to find his "dad". he was once in an orphanage, but he ran away to find his "dad". The setting of the story is Michigan. I feel that if you are interested in adventurous stories than you should read this book. The main characters are very confident and I am just like Bud in some ways.
I think that the book Bud, Not Buddy and Wild Life are similar in some ways. I think this because Bud and Erik both ran away. The most interesting part of the book to me is when Bud finds out that Herman E. Calloway is his grandfather. I recommend this book to other students because it tells how people lived in the great depression and how Bud was confident through all of his rough times. I give this book a thumbs up. I give this book a thumbs up because it shows how a little boy went through all the dangers of the world to find his "dad".
