The imperative of coffee sessions is wider engagement, and to get to know our residents. It also serves as an avenue to be visible and touch point for residents to seek help.

Going beyond coffee centres, hawker centres can be good places to solicit feedback. Seniors are easier to reach at coffee centres, alas younger segment of population seem to be less seen. Yonger residents might be more visible at fast food chains such as McDonalds, Starbucks, tuition centres.

Alas, yonger sengment of population is less likely to air their problems on the spot. Brochures that explain modes of outreach can be helpful in reaching out to yonger segment.

Owing to the nature of challenges that residents face, while we are not able to solve all problems, we should show that we tried our best regardless of outcomes. Going to coffee shops to help residents make us more visible when we try to serve residents. Stall operators can help cast the message wider, helping amplify our presence.

Moving forward, to further advance our agenda through coffee chats, challenges to be addressed include limited reach, improving on ice breaking and listening skills. We need to communicate our existence, we are there to listen, and we must show that we do our best to help them.
