I am a team lead, and though I have more responsibilities than my peers, I did not realize that I was technically under the management umbrella. It was great to learn more about my position and what other team leads 'expectations are compared to mine in Module One. It made me think about what I do and how I could do more, given the limitations of my position. I found this video to be a great expansion of what we learned in module one about team leads.

Why don't part-time workers get as many benefits? This is a question I didn't have the answer to, but I never second-guessed it until Module 6, that is. It is good to know the logistics of the things you are being subjected to. As a part-time worker, I should be asking these questions because they affect me. I should understand what I'm entitled to and why. This article explained that to me very well.

When I started thinking about the best leader I've ever encountered, what instantly came to mind was my manager. I wondered, "But can I choose a manager as a leader?" After thinking about it for a second, I came to the conclusion that the two can overlap. Not every manager is a good leader, but a good manager is, in fact, a leader. While charisma doesn't always make a kind or compassionate leader, it makes a good leader. I started by defending charisma, and it turned into realizing that it is probably one of the best characteristics a leader can have. It makes being a leader much easier if everyone is already naturally drawn to you. I don't think charisma is necessary to be a good leader; I think it makes it significantly easier by a long shot. It is almost the definition of a natural-born leader.
