S., 2020).  Through research, scientists have determined that specific drug uptake, drug breakdown, and drug receptors are determined by an indidivual's genetic makeup (Center for Disease Control and Prevention, 2018). This new innovation is astonishing; each person actively absorbs, distributes, and metabolizes medications differently.
