One of the issues we deal with in VET is that the delivery is so audit-centric, with sudden death for the business in the event you choose to be innovative and industry adaptive. These standards including curriculum design are enshrined in legislation and inflexible in the interests of a national standard. Lucas T

https://www.asqa.gov.au/about/australias-vet-sector/standards-registered-training-organisations-rtos-2015

Disappointment in professional bodies

Having progressed through this program, I am struck by how dumb I must have been about adult learning requirements when serving as a leader in professional bodies. I have a quick scan of those seeking to educate their members and I see nothing like what I am exposed to in this unit.
As I am a writer and hopefully a future teacher in CW I scanned the two professional bodies I am a member and none articulate anything like learning and teaching principles - indeed although they offer courses they articulate 'nothing' in any helpful ILO policy or procedure - this is very disappointing. Desperately so.
Richard
