         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>Potential Side Effects</strong></div><div>Cutting carbs, especially to levels below 130 grams daily, isn’t a good idea for teens and can cause negative side effects. These might include muscle cramps, diarrhea, weakness, skin rashes and constipation, according to the review published in 2007 in “The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition.” Teens who drastically cut carbs might not be getting all the essential nutrients their bodies require to function, grow and develop properly. TeensHealth reports that teen athletes who follow-low carb diets often experience fatigue and reduced athletic performance.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>I put on a few pounds at Christmas all the hockey boys told me to try the Atkins diet. <br>At first I liked it as I got to have cheesy eggs for breakfast and steak with salad for dinner. I lost 15 lbs so quickly but I realized I had no energy. I was not playing as well so I went back to a balance diet with fruit, whole wheat bread (low carb) and yogurt. I did not put any weight back and I felt great. You definitely need to have a healthy diet when playing high level sports.  I would not recommend it as you will not feel well.</div>]]></description>
