Remember when the other kids at your previous school were like: “ you are going to hang out with those whites” “she’s gonna become one of those people again” and then they avoided contact and communications with you? This is because they fear that your identity will be fully influenced by complete westernization and will no longer acknowledge your original cultural values. On the other hand, you believe in the idea of better education, and this is reasonable and justifiable, but seeing your reaction of the new environment makes me wonder: Do you regret your decision” or are the “consequences of westernization” warnings affecting you?
