Safe Space Sussex App

You can download this now for free from both the Apple and Google store – see attached QR code for ease.

The App was designed to enable users to locate safe spaces near to their location at any given time. The App now has over 275 safe spaces across the county with more added every week. The App enables the user to assign a named contact who will receive an SMS when triggered of the users GPS and What3Words location asking them to call the user as they feel unsafe.

The App also has the option for recording surroundings with both camera and sound and the footage is stored securely within the app should this be needed as well as links to the SafeSpaceSussex online directory of support services for further help and advice.

Exploring Neuroinclusive Eating Environments for Neurodivergent Groups and Carers

An external opportunity that may be of interest.

This study aims to explore how we can create neuroinclusive eating environments for Autistic people and people with intellectual disabilities. The research team is looking to talk to Autistic people, carers of Autistic people and/or people with intellectual disabilities (including parents, support workers and carers), and charity/support workers about how different factors of eating environment have affected their experiences.

You may be able to take part in this study if you:

are 16+ years old
are UK-based
have no diagnosis of intellectual disability
