This artwork is a non commissioned mural representing an Italian city with it's unique canals and colourful buildings. The artist is showcasing the difference between Australian and Italian cities through the different flora, buildings and even the boats. The mural represents Italian society and allows us as to Melburnians to enjoy Italy and broaden our love of the world without having to travel. As someone who explores Melbourne a lot Italian culture and practises are all around us, particularly through Italian foods including traditional Pizza and Pasta and the well known Italian Pasticceria called Brunneti's.

This artwork is a paste up representing the conflict between Palestine and Israel in the Middle East. It uses the now well known colours of the Palestinian flag and splatters of blood to communicate a sense of violence and bloodshed causing many deaths on both sides. The artist is showcasing us as bystanders, standing aside and watching war continue like how the droplets of blood have fallen and splattered across the page. The paste up evokes a feeling of chaos and destruction and is aimed at helping Melburnians reflect on the lucky and safe country that they live in and the help that needs to be provided to others. Multiculturalism in Melbourne is key so that we can have a range of different opinions that lead us to a fair decision. It allows us to connect and learn to listen and respect different perspectives and in the end brings us all closer to a solution that factors in everyone.

This artwork is a non commissioned mural representing an Indigenous man holding a eucalyptus tree. The creator of this mural is Matt Adnate, a well know street artist in Melbourne who includes indigenous people and their stories of resilience in his works. This mural in particular showcases the logging of trees in Australia and the sadness and anger that this brings Aboriginal People especially when they have to clean up the broken parts. It uses the grey background and the dull colours of both the tree and man to emphasise sorrow and the effects of society on Indigenous land and people. The expression of the man also adds to the mural because it shows a sense of despair after years of fighting and imbues a feeling of guilt and urgency into the audience.

The artist of this mural is showcasing his support for the band and their values and is attempting to spread awareness about their beliefs. Kneecap is known for their pro Palestine support and their beheading of a captain cook statue in Melbourne. The artwork shows anger and fearlessness in the bright blue eyes of the mascot which offers a sense of unity and action. Multiculturalism in Melbourne is not just about different people but different opinions and that can contribute to society in both positive and negative ways. Some people/groups go to extreme lengths to share and stand up for their values, including kneecap.

This artwork is a commissioned mural representing pasta which is one of Italy's most famous foods and is eaten all around the globe. This mural is showcasing the importance of Italian cuisine in every day life, especially from second and third generation Australians like myself who only eat foods from other cultures. The red lips are also iconic from ancient times in Rome and emphasise the Italian heritage and history that created and modified pasta overtime. The artwork represents an important part of Melbourne life and through seeing this you unconsciously reflect on the importance of different cultures in a society.

The artist of this mural is showcasing the connection that Anubis has with the modern day world especially now in such shaky times. The mural is representing those that have died whether it be through violence, illness or accident and is paying respect to the lives that have been lost. This piece is aimed at showing Anubis as a savour to the world and a figure that emphasises the positives that comes with a society of different backgrounds and ways of living, giving us strength and voice.
