         <description><![CDATA[<div>"Pap he hadn't been seen for more than a year, and that was comfortable for me; I didn't want to see him no more."(Twain 20) <br>In chapter 4 Huck is so desperate for Pap to be gone, Huck's opinion of Jim's magic takes a 180 and pays him to ensure that.<br><br>It's in chapter 5 that Pap appears and proceeds to immediately criticize Huck's education. Pap sees Huck as arrogant and vain to practice literacy. Pap goes as far to call education a "frill" saying "he's never seen such a son"(Twain 29). The flat putrid character of Pap criticizes the South as an ignorant drunk fully capable of violence. The combination of his lack of education and his violent tendencies makes him dangerous to everyone around him.</div>]]></description>
