There was a time where I wanted to learn to parallel park and my mother always said , "you just have to use your mirrors and turn the wheel". That was not very much help at all because I still did not understand how to actually park. Well one day I decided to actually get in the car and actively practice how to properly use the mirrors to turn the wheel the right until eventually I learned to parallel park perfectly now. Another time I learned by doing was when I attempted to arch my own eyebrows for the first time. Well after watching videos on youtube I still managed to cute half my eyebrows off, so learning from watching was not much help. I practiced more week by week and now I have fully arched eyebrows done by myself.

I think it was statistics I was taking when I got stuck on this one problem and I could not figure it out for the life of me. I love math so having a challenging problem to solve is actually something I love to do, so I sat there and worked that problem out in as many ways as possible until I got the correct outcome. I use to be on the step team in middle school and before I became a Captain on the team when I first joined and was learning the steps I thought I were doing them correctly and good. The captains before me kept telling me to do things a certain way and to tighten up certain moves to perfect the step and do it correctly to win competitions, well I took the criticism given and became one of the best on the team and then later a captain.

I learned to change a tire with this point. I like to be mobile so in order to do that I had to learn to change a tire cause mine had caught a flat and there was no one around to help me and I am not the type to wait around and just be stuck so I learned, watched a couple videos, made sure I had all the right tools, and I changed that tire. I took AnP1 my second semester at Southwest but because I just had my daughter the day the second semester started it had to be switched to online and I did not do well I ended up with a D. I had a goal to get a higher grade to boost my GPA up by retaking the class the following semester and to get the that goal achieved I learned the course to the best of my ability and I ended up passing the class with a B.

There was this time I was explaining to children how some things can be set on fire but will not like really burn through because of the certain material. To actually show them and test it out in real life I put alcohol on my hand and set fire to it but it did not actually burn my hand because of the alcohol chemicals. I went to a breakout room recently and one of the rooms had a real live case to find out a killer or whatever and there I had to use critical thinking from every clue I received to find the right killer.

When I was taking Anatomy and physiology me and some of my classmate always went to the donuts place and studied right before exams the next week. Within those sessions I learned more and understood more once another classmate put in their input. In high school we had this little ACT preps to help us preform better on the ACT and they put us in different groups to help each other study more with each other ideas. Studying with a group of people and taking in their perspectives help you knowledge expand.
