We are nearing the point in our investigation where our students will be selecting a service project to implement with a small team. Teams will be working on different project ideas, and therefore we need your help!

We are asking if you are available for any part of the timeframes below to assist us. Working with a small team of students, you would help them take their project idea and break it down into realistic, actionable steps. Also, you would help the team prioritize tasks and guide the group to assign roles based on the strengths and interests of each individual on the team. Students sometimes struggle with this, and the more adult support in planning, the better!

Again, we are looking for help during the times listed below. Please come any time during these timeframes and stay for as little or as long as you can.

“Why can’t someone else’s mom just write a check for their groceries?” is NOT a viable solution...but that is the solution that they know. Soooo relevant!

I am also VERY encouraged by the idea that they there are presentation standards for SPEAKING and having a conversation. I learned this week that THESE EXIST FOR EVERY SUBJECT. 

They are still fairly early in this process as they haven’t narrowed down their specific topics yet. This is a brainstorming and info gathering session that will help them figure out who might have the knowledge base that matches theirs. I would be interested to come in closer to their presentations to see how their knowledge base is expanding.
