Andy, my dad Bud, and Ted Welsch were the best. We had a wonderful 60s-70s neighborhood experience. The dad's were out mowing the lawns, teaching their kids how to ride their bikes down the sidewalk, playing running bases with the kids and buying ice cream from the Mr. Softee or Good Humor ice cream trucks. He was a man not to be forgotten. My niece, Jenny, remembers him , even though she met him once, many years ago at a graduation party we had at our house. He was playing bags with them, and loving every moment. He was always cracking jokes or comments that made her laugh. I will personally miss him driving through the drive-up at the bank just to say hi! He was a man that would do little things like that just to make a person feel good. Andy was a great bowling teammate, a fierce pingpong opponent and avid golfing buddy, insisting we arrive at the course by 5am to be the first foursome to tee off.

I just remember that smile most of all.  Mr. Cochand was always smiling. When I was around, he was mostly smiling at my crazy, probably questioning my sanity. 😅  I remember going to the cottage when Andrea and I were in high school and trying my hand at water skiing. A big fail for me but he made it fun and was always encouraging. He will most definitely be missed. ❤❤❤❤

We stayed with Nana and Papa for a couple days and explored the Chicago area, got Fox’s Pizza (I hope I remember the name correctly) and of course ice cream. Looking at this picture puts a huge smile on my face. I truly am so grateful for the entire Cochand family because I’ve always felt apart of it. I will forever remember his vibrant personality, jokes and pure joy for life! I love you all and he will be dearly missed! ❤️
