         <title>We visited the waste water treatment plat. nasty waste water gets cleaned there. there are many steps. 1. screening  is like removal of big things like wood, dead animals, rocks. 2. pumping; waste water plants are usually on low ground so water can flow to them pumping may be needed to get water  up to the tanks. 3. aerating; water goes into tanks air is pumped into it to release gases. 4. removing sludge ; the water goes in to sentiment tanks where organic matter sinks to the bottom and is pumped into digesters. 5. removing scum; scum is made of things that float like oils and soap. this gets skinned off. 6. filtration; many places filter through sand or carbon to remove bacteria, orders and solid particles. 7. killing bacteria ; chlorine and other chemicals  are added to kill bacteria. 8. the sludge of the digesters is sent to the land fill.</title>
