(red chromosome) and Cleo 

(green chromosome) are living

in a house made of straw (nucleus). 

Their house is surrounded by a dense

 forest, which is populated by

 wolves (centrioles).

2. One day, two more piggies named

Tod (replicated red chromosome) 

and Lila (replicated green chromosome)

 knock on the door and ask if they 

can stay In the house to get away from 

the wolves. Fred becomes best friends with 

Tod and Cleo becomes best friends with

Lila.

3. The big bad wolves (centrioles) are mad

 that 4 pigs are living in the same straw

 House and don’t want the friends to be

Happy, so they huff and they puff and 

They blow the house down!(nucleus breaks down)

4. Now that there is no house to protect them,

the wolves circle the little piggies. (Centrioles

Gather on opposite sides of the cell). They

split into two groups and each take one side

of the house. Then they reach out and snatch

The piggies up in their jaws! (spindle fibers

Attach to the chromosomes)

5. The wolves pull the friends away from each 

other (the spindle fibers pull the identical 

strands of the chromosomes apart)

6. The piggies are sad but they need 

Somewhere to live so they each

build their own new straw houses

(nucleus reforming)

7. The big bad wolves feel like the pigs are still

too close so they pull the piggies to opposite

sides of the woods (two new cells are formed)
