I believe that Hackers are not bad. Most bad hackers that are bad are teenagers and not adults. Hackers are an issue in society because they have been stealing credit card numbers from other people and more stuff. There are also hackers that earn money from doing something for a company. I believe hackers should be stopped because they are an issue to society.

The solution to hackers is to hire hackers because a lot of hackers have just lost their way and they need guidance. In the Ted talk by Misha Glenny states that "...for hacking into the Pentagon -- suffers from Asperger's and a secondary condition of depression. And Baron-Cohen explained that certain disabilities can manifest themselves in the hacking and computing world as tremendous skills, and that we should not be throwing in jail people who have such disabilities and skills because they have lost their way socially or been duped." This shows that we need to help the hackers because there are suffering from depression and this causes them to lose their social away.

Glenny, Misha. “Hire the Hackers!” TED, July 2011, www.ted.com/talks/misha_glenny_hire_the_hackers.

This way people can have a better and strong protection for their information. This will also help other companies to improve their products that are devices or secure information. Some people might be afraid to hire hackers because the hackers might hack them, but not all hackers are bad.

Ethos:
The speaker used an expert as an example. The speaker called him ¨RedBrigade¨ He showed he was different than other hackers.

Logos:
“And he explained to me how in 2003 and 2004 he would go on sprees in New York, taking out $10,000 from an ATM here, $30,000 from an ATM there, using cloned credit cards. He was making, on average a week, $150,000 -- tax free of course.” This shows that the speaker uses logos because he is stating statistics.

Pathos:
On the ted talk, the speaker goes from humor to strict and this rotates in till the end. When the speaker says something funny the audience laughs and when he goes back to serious and the audience silent.
