          I  am currently studying at Queen’s University and majoring in Civil Engineering. I, Sofia Meyer, a postgraduate student at Queen’s find myself struggling to follow lectures and produce coursework in my first term of engineering. I face issues with being able to grasp academic english during lectures and tutorial sessions. My tutor suggested to enrol in an EAP course to hone my skills in the language. However, I felt he did not feel genuine in his approach to what had to be addressed. 
 
Please advise me on how to proceed with this issue, thank you!
