June 29, 2002: the day I was born

Helen had given birth to a healthy baby girl. They named her "Junahlee".

She was their second child and the baby sister of Junlee Lagang.

I was a cute kid back then.

July 17, 2020: Finished Senior High School

Junahlee graduated from Philippine Women's College of Davao with Honors from the ICT - Computer Programming Strand Strand (TVL Track) through Virtual Graduation Ceremony via Zoom.

2008 to 2014: Primary Education

She went to two different schools.

She went to West Bunawan Central Elementary school during 1st to 2nd grade . But on the 3rd, she transferred halfway into the school year to Light & Life Learning Center.

She was not a smart kid. She only had games and friends on her mind. But she tried.

And eventually, she graduated from Light & Life Learning Center with average marks.

I really tried but never got high scores. Until High school came.

2014 to 2018: Junior High School

She went to two different schools again.

She went to Bunawan National High School for her first year of Junior High. It was a fun and memorable year. She was getting good marks, friends and freedom. But everything had come to an end when she was transferred to Davao City.

She was transferred to a school in Davao City which was Philippine Women's College of Davao. She studied there for 5 years from 8th to 12th grade.

I still did get good marks and good friends in Davao. But I was truly happy at my hometown.

1988: the beginning of everything

Helen, who was originally from Bohol, was assigned to teach in Bunawan, Agusan del Sur.

John, who was also originally from Bohol, was already in Bunawan at that time and had worked as a tailor at his uncle's shop.

Both lived in Bohol and went to the same University but their paths never crossed or perhaps they did but never noticed each other.

Until one day in Bunawan, Agusan del Sur.

Fast forward into the 90's.

They had already married each other and established a small business. On December 3, 1990, a healthy baby boy was born. His name was Junlee.

I was still in the making ;)

She likes to take pictures.

She wishes to have a camera and be a professional photographer some day but for now, she takes pictures using her phone.

This is an abstract photograph I took on a purple water basin with water. Those colored strips on my hands were my Mom's (expired) lipsticks.

DAVAO CITY: the second home

The Lagang family, originally from Agusan, is now currently living in a house at a small village called "Doña Luisa Village" in Matina Crossing, Davao City.

They have a small garden at the front and side of their house. They live in a quiet neighborhood.

It was the time for Researches and Thesis.

Her group decided to develop a management system and they chose something for a hotel.

This is REVTEL: a hotel reservation management system using Java and Derby DB as their year-end project in Visual Programming Subject.

It was hard to make given the time and task but we passed! Thank you Sir James and Conrad for guiding us.

Singing

She likes to write poetry from time to time. It's sort of a release other than music.

Here is a sample of one of her poem:

The Sunrise

Twas dark and gloomy
but dawn was finally here The sun was peeking

A thin orange line
was at the sea's horizon merging with the sky

Blue, gray, white, orange
layered on to each other
A play of colors

The sun's light won and
the darkness had shied away
Now, the sky was clear

A clear canvas sky
that the sun had to paint
with orange and yellow

Our eyes were glued to
the art in front of us
Mesmerized by sight

I gasped from thin air
but a sense of euphoria
was within my mind

As I stood and gazed
on top of the rocks, the world
was alive again

Coding

She wasn't fond of Coding back then. She hated Computer in General.

But one specific teacher changed her perspective.

And now, she has a passion for coding and anything computer related.
