In the play act 1 scene 1 I like the particular phrase where the prince is speaking to the people because everyone was getting into a fight and he stood his grounds. He was the peace maker and said that if anyone gets into a fight again he will punish/kill that person. He doesn't care what anyone thought but he did it anyway. This shows how he is like the chief of police and his personality towards the people. This also shows how the people respect and honor who he is and what he says.

To what extent is Romeo's love for Juliette believable?

Romeo's love for Juliette is not believable because that day he was winning over another girl that he thought would never love him back and then right when he saw Juliette he was immediately in love with her. He has never seen the girl before and is immediately in love with her which would be some what believable but he was just saying how he would never get over the other girl and he did when he saw Juliette so he could see another girl and get over Juliette just as quickly.

Contrast two versions of the play (text or movie). What was particularly effective? What didn't work as well?

In Act 3 of this play two sections really contrasted each other and that would be when Capulet went to Paris asking if he would marry his daughter and he of course said he would, Capulet thought that when he did this it would cheer Juliet up and that they would be married by Thursday night. When he told Juliet she got very upset and refused to marry him which made Capulet very mad and told her if she does not get married she will be cut off from the family. I think that this Act was very effective for people to understand the play better and for people to become more interested in the play and make them want to read more.

How effective is the play's conclusion?

I think that the play's conclusion was effective in the way that it really brought this story to life and showed the true emotion that these two people had. The conclusion showed that Romeo and Juliet really would have done anything for each other even going as far as killing themselves. It showed their true love for each other. I also think the play's conclusion was effective because in the play when the parents come and see them all dead they realize that they did this and now the generations of the Montague's and Capulet's will end and that is basically their fault because they were forbidden from seeing each other.
