It influenced public opinion to support the war and war efforts. Most themes of the propaganda in world war 1 were by the red cross to save food or telling the public to join the armed forces and fight in the war. Because of this people were able to ration food and the country had plenty of food for the war effort and the people at home. Also more people enlisted in the army because they saw the inspiring posters hanging around their town so they enlisted in the army.
