My musical journey began when I entered high school. At first, I thought my path would revolve around singing—I had been a natural-born singer and had been singing for as long as I could remember. But everything changed when I was introduced to the other side of the music world: playing instruments. That’s when I fell in love with the magic of creating melodies through my hands.

It all started with the guitar. I learned a few chords, and soon after, I picked up the ukulele, which became a source of comfort during the challenging times of the pandemic. My exploration didn’t stop there; I ventured into playing the double bass, a large, hollow instrument reminiscent of a giant violin. This experience sparked my passion for bass instruments, eventually leading me to discover the sousaphone—a brass instrument better known as the tuba. Each step of this journey deepened my connection to music and shaped the musician I am today.

I wasn’t always the smartest kid in my class, nor was I one of the proudest. I was just an ordinary boy. But beneath the surface, within the mind and heart of that young boy, burned a passion—a drive to create, to nurture my talents, and to push them to their fullest potential.

This passion has always been my guiding force, the spark that fuels my life. My dream has always been to bring out the best in myself, to one day contribute to shaping the future by exploring and unraveling the profound mysteries of music.

When it comes to academics, I wouldn’t say I’ve ever been one to chase honors or accolades. Yet, I’ve been fortunate enough to be recognized along the way. For me, it’s never been about the recognition—it’s about the journey, the growth, and the pursuit of what truly drives me.

The Future Physical Educator

As a college student, I’ve started noticing a shift. Lately, I’ve felt myself losing the spark—the drive that used to keep me on track and fuel my progress. These days, every step feels more deliberate, every decision more critical, as if one misstep could put a dream at risk.

But even in the face of these challenges, I hold onto an unshakable belief in myself. Deep down, I know I have the strength to navigate these trying times. One day, I’ll look back on this chapter as the foundation of my success in becoming the teacher I’m meant to be.
