They are stripped of many rights such as the privilege to marry, and are even forced to do labor. The Rohingya are also kept in barbed wire prisons that mimic cages, and forced into slavery, with little to no food. 
Response: Central and local governments have taken steps to provide safer shelter and to improve humanitarian access.
Similarities to Holocaust: The Rohingya people like the Jews are denied due process, they are heavily segregated, limited on movement, and forced into labor. In addition in 2012 hate speeches fueled a violent campaign against the people and many lost their homes, similar to the beginning stages of the holocaust where many Jewish communities were destroyed.

The Khmer rouges Launched an attack on Cambodians to transform the Southeast Asian Country into a classless agrarian Utopia. In response Vietnam invaded Cambodia. Then after 30 years of civil war, they brought 3 leaders to justice in the international court. Similarly to the Holocaust, because they used forced labor, they starved them, people were separated from their families, and many diseases were spread. After the end of this time period over 2 million people died.

In 1980 many nations expressed their desire for independence. In Bosnia, the Yugoslav army- largely comprised of Serbs committed mass killings of two other ethnic groups in Serbia, the Croats and the Bosniak Muslims. These killings continued until the end of the Bosnian civil war in 1995.

Response--Providing humanitarian aid instead of confronting atrocities against civilians was the central focus of the international response to the conflict in Bosnia.  The high commissioner for refugees led and enormous aid program to assist those that are displaced malnutrition or needing medical attention due to the war. Since the beginning of the conflict, the UN and international leaders had refused to confront the Bosnian Serbs.

Similarities--The Holocaust occured during World War II. This genocide occurred during a civial war in Yugoslavia. Both genocides targeted a specific religion which in this case, was Islam.

Basic Summary:
The plight of the Iraqi minorities was a tragedy on multiple levels. In at least one case, hundreds of residents of a village were killed by fighters of the self-proclaimed Islamic State (IS). But in many other cases, people were driven from their homes, their businesses, their friends, and their houses of worship and forced to begin again. In effect, their cultures and communities were uprooted.

Background Information:
Who was involved: Islamic state and U.S.A 
More than a hundred thousand Sunni’s were killed bombings I.E.D.´s, and judicial slayings. The Sunni Arabs began to protest peacefully but were seen as terrorists. They were met by increasingly violent repression by the Iraqi Government and affiliated Shia militias. During this entire period the Iraqi Government was also focused on counter terrorism, counter insurgency, and political stabilization.



What type of response was received from the world?
US military forces withdrew from Iraq in December 2011. But as the self-proclaimed Islamic State (IS) conquered territory in northern Iraq, the United States announced a limited military reaction to the conflict.
The Kurdistan Regional Government, which opened its doors to those escaping, is under considerable strain in caring for the displaced.

Similarities between Iraq genocide and the Holocaust:
Obviously, both result in thousands of people dying and the separation of a country into two different groups.
