Brook street london: in 1770, a teenager(Thomas Chatterton) kills himself. He does this because nobody want to publish his poetry  which is concerned with beauty and wisdom. His family was pressuring him to become a lawyer. A cult then soon grows around this young poet he in sort becomes an emblem/symbol. He is interpreted as the idea of a sensitive doomed person who is often a artist rejected by a cruel and vulgar world. 

Leipzig Germany: 1774, German author Goethe creates a story that is seen as one of the greatest pieces of literature of its time. His book changed the idea of love and how people perceive it. It empathized the importance of feelings and emotions the traditional/normal class of love and lineage acts for love.
