I found this book to be my favorite due to the style it was written in. The shifting perspectives between three intertwined families was a very unique dynamic that kept me constantly engaged. I also loved the various themes presented throughout the novel and the wording and ways these themes were presented. This expands beyond just school, delving deeper into my childhood. Unlike Mr. Ye I had only one grandparent in my childhood I have quite vivid memories with my grandma as a little boy. Sometimes I wish that it wouldn't be over so soon or like Mr. Ye stated, "I wish I could stop time like a photograph". It is still unbelievable to me that in just a few months time everyone that I've spent time with from school will be gone and I will be in a completely different world. Kanye West has many songs with deep or relatable lyrics that easily put me in a pensive mood.
