SFL and LCT have helped me when looking at the theories and analysing them in detail they have been invaluable to me when looking at understanding why authors chose the language they do. In particular, and how they structure their writing to have the most impact on the reader. By reading different articles it has helped me to select the right pieces of literature to really help me learn, looking at the waves and code of writing has shown me that some articles need further knowledge to understand the concepts intertwined throughout them.

I have used some of the tips picked up from analysing articles in my own work, I have focused on structure and choice of language to add another level of sophistication to my writing. Since the start of the year learning how to analysis a passage of writing in depth has enabled me to strengthen my essays in my home degree, and has also given me confidence in all my written work. Analysing my own work and work of others in this essay has helped me firmly grasp the concept of globalization and the theory of opportunity cost. I have found that researching articles in depth and spending time choosing the relative articles can aid an essay in many areas. By reading these articles I have been able to write in a certain way that is compatible with people in all levels of business. I have researched and understood the numerous ways in which an article can be written in business. Reading these articles has shown me that choices made by business should be based upon rational, unbiased analysis that has not been unduly influenced by opinionated writing. In reading these articles I have been able to develop my own style of writing in a way that is compatible with the needs of business decision making.
