However, as I got older I feel like my need to be around people my own age has gotten stronger. Therefore, I chose to go to college far away from home. Being away from home now definitely makes me appreciate my parents and how they raised me. Additionally, it makes me more grateful to come home.

They are very religious however are also very liberal, socialists. Although one of my uncles uses his religion to justify being harshly right winged. I think him moving to another county with a new language and not having friends pushed him further into that narrative.

However, moving around so much has made my family very adaptable and knowledgeable about different curriculums, cultures, and norms making us more curious and respectful when interacting with people who come from different background than us.
