  • I was given my name because my parents thought it was a strong and elegant name, they didn´t want to name me after anyone.
  • I like my name because it´s not that popular and also because i find large names so powerful and versatile.
  • My name is good fit for my personality because whenever i look for the characteristics or atributes the name has, i can identify myself.
  • Describe a time when someone made an assumption about you because of your name: I cannot remember someone making an assumption about me by my first name, but for my last name. People tend to ask me if i  am related to Marco Antonio Regil or Bárbara de Regil because we have the same last name..
  • Describe a time when your name affected your behavior. I used to dislike a lot being called by my complete name, i liked better Pau. Nowadays, i like it better to be called Paulina but everyone that knows me since i was little is already used to calling me by my nickname.

    Which choices do you make in your morning routine that might affect people’s opinions of you?
         How i style my hair and with whom i have breakfast

    What assumptions might someone make about your identity based on these choices?
    That  i dress like in the 70s or so.

    What might happen if you made different choices one morning?
    I might style my hair in the different ways that i know how to instead of just having it down all the time

     How could making a different choice in your hairstyle, fashion, or another aspect of your routine affect how people look at you?
    They might think that i´m creative or that i style my hair like a little girl.

    Describe a time in your life when your concerns about how you would be perceived by others affected a decision you made.
    Once ago some mean guys said that i dressed like an old lady and i started to question my style

    Who are the people with whom you can be and show your truest self? Who are you when you are with them? In what ways do they give you confidence to just be you?
    Some friends and family. I always try to show my real self. They give me confidence by accepting me with all my flaws and insecurities.

    What are you passionate about? How do the things you are passionate about help shape who you are?
    I like to paint and read , i really enjoy listening to music, i live romantic comedies, i like the pink and lilac colors, i like to make others feel good with themselves. These things and many others are part of what makes me myself.

It is not offensive because they made this jewerly box as a souvenir and it is intended that tourists buy it and use it. These women are Syrian refugees, trying to escape the horrors their country is going though because of war. Life as a refugee must be pretty hard and we could be more empatic with these people. I´m pretty fortunate that i don´t have to inmigrate to another country because of the situation in it. It must be pretty hard, and even more if you have kids, like in this photo.     • My parents are a hundred percent mexican, and also my grandparents, but my great grandparents were not from mexico. One of them was from Libanon, my grandmother has arabic characteristics. The others were mexicans or spanish, those are my roots

    I think that your background plays an important role in how you see the world and also how you develop in it.

    I like to meet people from other countries because i like to learn from them

    My identity is perfectly related to my cultural background and to the issues the worl encounters, that´s why i can find solutions for these, because i live them.

    • How do cultural expressions (photos, poetry, traditions and games) give any citizen their identity? 
    They help us to look forward to something in order to feel safe and comfortable in our own skin
    • What are the main elements of my daily life that define me as a part of a community? What are those elements and characteristics for others?
    Maybe it could be my daily diet, because it includes many regional ingredients. Also my communication, because it represents my native language and sometimes also my clothing represents my country
    • How can I use critical thinking skills in order to read different sources from my and other’s cultures, integrate the information, and apply it to reach a multiculturally appropriate response?
    I like to read foreign literaure, i often read in english. it helps me to know the characteristics of other cultures and to embrace our differences and simmilitudes. i don´t want to be considered ignorant, i always try to learn more and more
    • What experiences shaped my perspectives?
    I have a german friend, she even stayed in my house for over a month las summer. We exchanged the characteristics of our daily life and culture.
