Many classes provided students with the opportunity to support their answers with details and evidence from text. Some teachers were using technology like Padlet or Canvas to facilitate in-depth discussions to allow for student voice and more opportunities for all students to work with course level questions. In these instances, the technology enhanced the pedagogy effectively.

Band had the greatest example of the demonstration of evidence and details from text. How else can you harmonize as a full ensemble than by reading sheet music and following the conductor? We could also see among the independently working students that they were engaging with their studies with no hesitation and very few questions. To us that supports the idea of these classes using this core action in a non direct way, that the understanding is demonstrated with projects.
