How developing and using the faith factor can contribute to health

Trusting in God is fundamental to having good faith. It creates a strong and intimate relationship with God. Having good faith allows us to see life positively and allows us to have firm hope. Some people may be skeptical when we say that our thoughts and our faith control our bodies, and like the examples in Chapter 9, these small positive actions can relieve a headache and even enhance cancer therapy. Like practicing mindfulness, smiling, deep breathing, or expressing gratitude—may seem simple, but our mindset, habits, and emotional well-being play a crucial role in healing. It’s a reminder that healing isn’t only physical—it’s mental, emotional, and deeply connected to how we live each day.

Negative thinking vs. Positive thinking

As we continue to grow and learn, one truth becomes clearer: our mind is incredibly powerful. The way we think shapes our reality—it can build us up or break us down. Positive thoughts can empower us, boost our confidence, and help us overcome challenges, while negative thoughts can trap us in fear, doubt, and insecurity.

It’s also true that the people around us have a strong influence on our mindset. Their energy, words, and actions can either uplift or drain us. However, the ultimate power lies within us. We can choose whether to absorb negativity or to protect our peace. Our environment may be outside of our control, but how we respond to it is entirely up to us.

Strengthening our mind through self-awareness, mindfulness, and intentional thinking allows us to create a barrier between ourselves and negativity. Instead of being shaped by others, we can become the ones who shape our reality and inspire change around us.

Surrounding ourselves with people who support our growth Surrounding ourselves with people who support our growth and values is important, but it’s equally vital to stand strong in solitude. True power comes when we can maintain a positive mindset despite challenges. It means trusting ourselves, staying aligned with our principles, and finding inner peace that doesn’t depend on others.

The Whispering Wind and the Grumbling Tree🍃

In a quiet forest, there stood an old Tree who grumbled every day. “The sun is too hot, the rain too wet, and the wind too loud,” he complained. His leaves drooped with bitterness, and no birds wished to nest in his branches.

One day, the Wind passed by and whispered softly, “Why do you always complain, dear Tree?”

The Tree sighed, “Because everything is wrong. Nothing ever goes my way.”

The Wind replied gently, “Then listen more, speak wisely, and think differently.”

Confused, the Tree asked, “What do you mean?”

So the Wind called the Mind, the Ear, and the Mouth.

The Mind spoke: “What you feed me, I become. Think of gratitude, and I will grow joy.”

The Ear said: “Hear the birdsong, the laughter, the breeze—not just the noise.”

Then the Mouth added: “Speak kindness, and even the silence will bloom.”

Days passed, and the Tree began listening more, thinking better, and speaking less of sorrow. Slowly, his leaves brightened, birds returned, and even the sun felt gentler.

And from that day on, the Tree no longer grumbled—for he had learned that peace begins within.

Slongan from proverb ""A smiling face reflects a joyful heart; let your light shine from within. 15:13"

I think this proverb relates to chapters 9 and 10 because it emphasizes how our attitude affects more than just our mood—it impacts our body, health, and even our outward appearance. A joyful heart can bring energy, strength, and a positive presence, These chapters highlight the importance of wisdom, emotional balance, and the choices we make daily, all of which shape not only our inner life but also how we’re perceived by others.
