(but it does create a feeling of innocence); Why didn’t I realise the possibility of two characters when I heard the kiss?

Surprises: characters (children not adults; two not one character); setting (suburbs, although it is very green & prosperous-looking); the sequence of the shots (scene of the action was from exterior to interior, not the other way around as I had imagined);
Predictions: she tells her best friend what has just happened; the boy returns the bag; they share many adventures together; the film “fast forwards” to their future;
Similarities: it is the classic boy meets girl of stories told the world over; elements of Cinderella as she loses her shoe; the classic “dropped handkerchief” which gives the suitor an opportunity to see her again by returning it;

I expected an older couple and an older movie. When she dropped her bag, I thought there could be a connection with the title.

Predictions: There is a love story that develops with pencil bag bringing them together.

I could use this to get students to work with the "Tell me" grid and I could also expand by getting students to talk about what happened before this scene (practicing the past tenses) or what will happen after this scene (using future tenses).

I did not understand why the girl lives her bag behind (probably so that the boy may have an excuse to see her again), I was puzzled by the unusuality of the scene, I predict that the characters will meet again in the future.
The video could inspire interesting activities with regards to language ( future forms for prediction, conditional forms, modals to express possibility..) and stimulate discussion about film setting techniques and relation between sounds and images.
