The bodies of Andreas Gruber, Cazilia Gruber, Viktoria Gabriel, and Cazilia Gabriel were all found in the family's barn.

The bodies of Maria Baumgartner and Josef Gabriel were found in their rooms. The police are investigating, but have found no leads yet.

Lorenz Schlittenbauer

• Neighbor of the Gruber family, first to find the bodies, and possibly Viktoria's lover.

• His companions Jacob Sigl and Michael Pohl claim that Lorenz had a key to the Grubers' house.

Anton Bichler

• Factory worker who was looking to marry Kreszenz, however, the Gruber family were trying to break the two apart.

• Is familiar with the family's house as he had helped them multiple times with their potato harvests.

• The family's dog who usually barked at strangers never barked at him.

• Rieger claimed that Anton often talked to her about the Gruber family, and reportedly suggested that the family ought to be dead.

Georg Siegl

• Worked with the family before.

• Supposedly broke into the home in November 1920 and stole a number of items.

Josef Thaler

• Committed several minor burglaries in the area before the murders.

• Rieger claimed that Josef told her before that he knew which family member was sleeping in which room.
