This satire shows the irony of people in modern day society having to show the good we do instead of allowing the good to just happen. Society feels like we have to show people that we are doing “good” in order for everyone to see the we are “good” people.

The purpose is showing that in this generation kids are addicted and being slaves to electronics. They are to worried about social media and what’s on their phones rather than what’s happening in the real world. This is a Horatian satire and its device is situational irony. It’s effective because it shows the struggles parents have and this can influence the parents to take more control of their kids and take their phones away so they can see the many more things that are more important than what’s on a phone.

This post shows the irony of how the business man thinks that the United States is getting taken over by the immigrants. The irony of the man saying this is that before the Europeans came to claim the U.S the native Americans where occupying the land already but the Europeans still took the land making them the illegal immigrants.

Situational irony is present in this. It is not effective, because it is not effending anyone, rather showing humor towards Tesla.
